ABOUT YITONG DING

My name is Yitong Ding, I’m a classical pianist, composer and music teacher. I regularly perform concerts of classical repertoire, as well as some of my own compositions. As a pianist, one of the privileges is the piano's capabilities of creating rich harmonies that allow us to program many astonishing piano works in a solo setting. I love to play with other instrumentalists as well. I enjoy the different colors different instruments bring, and the dynamic from different people interacting. To me, music performing itself is an attempt of emotional communication with the audience, through the barriers of different cultures, languages and age. After spending many hours practicing, and letting go of ourselves to just bring music to people in concerts, the performances transcend to a magical realm where it channels feelings, memories that exist in each individual.
